Leeds United produced arguably their best performance of the season on Friday night, with Marcelo Bielsa's side running out 4-0 winners against promotion rivals West Brom.

It was a real statement victory from the Whites who were superb from their first whistle.

Even though it was a team effort, there was one man who stood out for the Yorkshire outfit once again - Ezgjan Alioski.

The Macedonian dropped into an unnatural left-back position after Barry Douglas picked up an injury but he has kept the ex-Wolves man out since he returned.

And, as our graphic shows, that decision is paying off for Bielsa, with Alioski putting in another fine display against the Baggies.

His nine tackles show just how competitive the 27-year-old is and also demonstrates how he is prepare to put in a big defensive shift even though he is really a winger.

Those attacking instincts are also helping the side a lot in the final third though.

Alioski has the energy to get up and down the left flank all game and he is continuously making decisive contributions.

That was the case again on Friday as he played a few good long balls and also managed to get two shots off on goal, which is impressive for a full-back.

Obviously, the one effort was the fourth goal for Leeds and that epitomised his performance as he was in the penalty box to tap home even though it was so late on and with the game already won.

The challenge moving forward for Alioski is to maintain the high standards he has set but he has established himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet right now.
