Bristol City celebrated their 125th anniversary this season and are an EFL stalwart. 

They've had some fantastic players during that time but there have been a fair number that always raise their game against the Robins.

With that in mind, we've compiled a list of nine players that City have seemed to struggle against over the years...

The 35-year-0ld sadly passed away earlier this year but never failed to show his quality when he came up against City.

The Cardiff stalwart scored five times and provided two assists in 18 appearances against the Robins, helping the Bluebirds win the Severnside Derby on multiple occasions.

Wood spent time on loan at Ashton Gate early on in his career but he rarely failed to punish his former club when given the chance.

With more than 200 Championship games under his belt, it's perhaps no surprise he cause the Robins such issues – scoring five times and providing one assist in his eight games against them.

Something about playing City always seems to inspire the Scotsman, who has a phenomenal record against the South West club.

In his six meetings with the Robins, Snodgrass has grabbed five goals and four assists.

The retired Irish striker has an excellent record in the Championship and City were one of his regular victims.

Doyle scored five goals in five games against the Bs3 outfit and is someone they will no doubt be happy to see the back of.

Robinson joined the Baggies on loan in January and proceeded to inflict more misery on City – scoring in the 3-0 defeat earlier this year.

The 25-year-old has faced the Robins on nine occasions, scoring six times and providing three assists, they'll be hoping he returns to Sheffield United sharpish.

The 34-year-old's EFL goalscoring prowess is well documented, with more than 200 goals to his name.

Few sides will have been more pleased to see him make the step up than the Robins, as he's found the net seven times and provided one assist in his 16 meetings with them.

With seven goals and one assist in 11 meetings, Henderson made a habit of putting the Robins to the sword in his playing days.

He was stalwart of the Championship in the 2000s and early 2010s but retired in 2017. City will no doubt have been glad to see the back of him.

The journeyman striker did a lot of damage to City before hanging up his boots in 2017.

Chopra faced them 11 times and was always a threat – scoring nine times and providing two assists.

City were not the only Championship side McCormack terrorised when he was at his best but he certainly enjoyed playing against them.

Eight goals and two assists in 12 meetings is not a record that makes pretty reading for the Ashton Gate faithful.

Ince can be lethal on his day and unfortunately for the Robins, that seems to be whenever he faces them.

The 28-year-old has faced them 11 times in total, scoring eight times and providing three assists.
