Middlesbrough fans will go into the summer preparing for a fresh start at the Riverside next season.

The 2018/19 campaign culminated in bitter disappointment for the Teesside club, who missed out on promotion to the Premier League for the second year running under the management of Tony Pulis.

But the 61-year-old is no longer in charge of the North East club, and they will go into the new season looking for a new manager as well as new players.

Despite a manager still yet to be appointed at the Riverside, the club have still been linked with plenty of names ahead of the 2019/20 season, with Kamil Grosicki the latest player to be linked with a move to Boro.

The 30-year-old, who was linked with a move back in January, endured a magnificent season for Hull last term, and would definitely add some much-needed spark and pace to the Boro attack.

Here, we take a look at his stats from the season just gone, and see whether he would be a good signing for Boro...

Grosicki scored nine goals in 39 appearances for Hull last season, producing a further 12 assists for Nigel Adkins' side.

Those strikes have come from an average of 2.8 shots per game, with the tricky winger also completing 1.1 crosses per game, producing excellent service to the likes of Fraizer Campbell and Jarrod Bowen.

The Poland international accrued a pass success rate of 66.6% as well as completing 1.9 key passes per game, and ended the season sitting joint-second in the division's assist charts, behind Brentford playmaker Said Benrahma.

Grosicki proved last season that age is just a number, and at the age of 30-years-old, he continued to establish himself as one of most dangerous players in the league.

Middlesbrough have been crying out for a fast, direct, creative winger in their squad since the departure of Adama Traore to Wolves, and although Grosicki may not be as fast as the Spaniard, he more than makes up for it in terms of end product.
