£9.23m-valued Sheffield Utd v £61.31m-valued Sheffield Wednesday.. Who’s actually got a better top 6 chance?

Both Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday are enjoying decent starts to their respective Sky Bet Championship seasons.

Seven games into the season, the Blades sit in third position with Chris Wilder’s men winning their last four Championship matches, a fantastic achievement for a newly promoted side.

A solitary Cameron Carter-Vickers goal for Sheffield United earned them a 1-0 win over fellow newly-promoted side Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium last night.

Meanwhile, Carlos Carvalhal’s Sheffield Wednesday also sit in the top six and currently occupy sixth spot in the league, having amassed 12 points from their first seven league matches.

The Owls overcame Dean Smith’s struggling Brentford at Hillsborough, and will be looking to continue their good start to the season on the weekend.

But out of the two Steel City clubs, who’s actually got a better chance of finishing in the top six come May?

Will it be Sheffield United, who are given a market value of just £9.23m by Transfermarkt, or is it Sheffield Wednesday, who have been handed a considerably larger market value of £61.31m.
