Leeds United were handed a footballing lesson last night by Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Paul Heckingbottom’s side blown away by the Sky Bet Championship’s leaders at Elland Road.

Wolves showed too much class for Leeds, with goals from Romain Saiss, Willy Boly and Benik Afobe sealing an impressive 3-0 victory for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, who continue to march on towards the Premier League.

Last night’s defeat showed Heckingbottom how far away his own squad were from challenging for promotion, with Leeds’ play-off push now surely over and their season drifting towards a mid-table finish.

Plenty of Leeds’ squad failed to impress, but there were one or two players to post some decent numbers despite a difficult evening, including Adam Forshaw.

Here at FLW, we take a look at the midfielder’s performance in detail:

Forshaw completed a difficult 90 minutes against a physical midfield duo of Alfred N’Diaye and Saiss, making three tackles and committing just two fouls.

Leeds’ possession was limited, but Forshaw still continued to impress with the ball, with 58 passes, and just five long balls, at an outstanding success rate of 89.7%.
