Leeds United suffered a wake-up call at the weekend as they were beaten 2-1 by Stoke City, which saw them have their lead at the top of the table cut to just a point.

The Whites didn't seem to gain much momentum during the game and were far from their best, which led to a narrow defeat on the day.

One man who had a crucial say in the result for all the wrong reasons was Pontus Jansson who was sent off in the second-half.

The Swedish international is the subject of our FLW Spotlight this week, so we look at his performance in more detail.

The main statistic that is going to stand out in this analysis is Jansson's red card on 76 minutes which was certainly harsh on the Leeds defender.

But it ended up being costly, as Leeds slipped to their third league defeat, in their last four games which will be concerning for supporters.

Jansson also made just one tackle, which isn't great reading, but with six aerial duels won, and five clearances during his time on the pitch, he did have an impressive game apart from his red card.

The centre-back made 44 passes in total during the game, and with a pass success rate of 88.6%, this will be impressive reading for Marcelo Bielsa.

But the Leeds boss will have to look into other options in the centre of defence for Leeds' next league game, when they take on Rotherham next weekend.
