Middlesbrough are going from strength-to-strength in the Sky Bet Championship, with Tony Pulis transforming a faltering squad into serious promotion contenders during the second-half of the season.
Pulis made a few key decisions during the January transfer window to help turn Boro’s season around, including bringing Mo Besic to the Riverside Stadium on-loan from Everton.
The 25-year-old has made a strong impact at the Riverside Stadium, producing the type of performances that could hand him a lifeline at Goodison Park when he returns during the summer.
Pulis has placed a lot of faith in Besic recently, with the midfielder repaying his manager by helping Boro into pole position in the race for sixth and on a five-match unbeaten run.
Here at FLW, we take a look at Besic’s Middlesbrough stats in our latest spotlight:
Besic has made six appearances for the Teessiders since joining them on-loan, registering just one assist from midfield.
However, in possession is where Besic has really impressed, averaging 44.8 passes per game, which come at a success rate of 87%.
Defensively the midfielder has also been sound, winning 50% of his aerial duels and tackling at a success rate of 68%.
