£850k-rated Arsenal outcast would be a wonderful signing for QPR this summer

Chuba Akpom has been touted as a future Premier League star on several occasions, but the 21-year-old striker has continued to fail to find his shooting boots during a number of loan spells away from the Emirates Stadium.

In 63 loan appearances across spells with 5 clubs, Akpom has only found the back of the net on 3 occasions, with all of these goals coming with Hull City in the 2015/16.

Another loan move beckons for Akpom, and a productive season is vital if the London-born England U21 international is to finally launch a consistent bid for first team football with the Gunners.

Akpom’s ability to work hard off of the ball has seen clubs continue to put faith into the player, and once the goals come, Akpom will be a fantastic young striker.

QPR are in need of offensive reinforcements following a disappointing season in the Championship, and with funds set to be limited at Loftus Road, a loan move for Akpom makes financial sense for manager Ian Holloway.

QPR mustered 52 goals on the way to an 18th placed finish, and adding Akpom to the squad is an extremely low risk, high reward gamble for Holloway to make.

Get Akpom – valued at £850k on Transfermarkt – in and get him firing, then QPR will add a lot more goals to their game next season.

Thoughts, QPR fans?
