Despite Bradley Dack's opening goal inside 60 seconds, it was West Brom who extended their unbeaten start to the Championship season on Saturday, eventually running out 3-2 winners over Blackburn Rovers at The Hawthorns.

After Matt Phillips had equalised for Slaven Bilic's side, it was Jake Livermore who gave the Baggies the lead just past the half-hour mark, with Grady Diangana's impressive finish sealing the win for the hosts, despite Bradley Johnson pulling one back for Rovers on the stroke of half time.

One of those goalscorers who caught the eye for the Baggies on Saturday was Livermore, who has been an ever-present in the league for West Brom during the early stages of the season.

So despite his busy schedule at the start of the campaign, just how impressive was the midfielder on Saturday?

Here, we put the spotlight on Livermore's performance against Blackburn on Saturday to find out.

Looking at the stats across the course of the match, it does seem as though Livermore had a significant influence on the Baggies win, keeping them in the early running to repeat their push for promotion this season.

As well as his goal - which was clinically and emphatically taken when a loose ball dropped to the midfielder on the edge of the area - the midfielder evidently posed an attacking threat throughout the course of the game.

Livermore showed his intent to make an impact in the game, with the usually deep-lying midfielder taking three shots throughout the course of the match, albeit only finding the target once.

It wasn't just with regards to his chances that Livermore posed a danger to Blackburn on Saturday.

With the midfielder successfully completing 85% of his passes, the 29-year-old was clearly an influential presence in the centre of the park, particularly with that success rate equating to 34 completed passes, highlighting the stability he provided for the Baggies in that area of the pitch, while also creating chances for his side going forward, with one shot assisted by the midfielder.

It is worth noting that Livermore also contributed to his side's victory from a defensive viewpoint, with the midfielder making three interceptions throughout the course of the match to help prevent Blackburn's dangerous attacking line from putting his side's goal under any more threat.

Having been sent off in a 2-1 defeat at Ewood Park the last time these two sides met, Livermore will have wanted to make amends when his side went up against Rovers on Saturday.

Judging by the stats from his performance at The Hawthorns, he will certainly feel that he has done that.
