Leeds United are reportedly turning to the Premier League to help with their mounting injury worries.

According to The Mirror’s live transfer blog (Monday, November 19, 2018, 2.07pm), the Championship side could be lining up a move for the Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton in the wake of the recent injury to Jamal Blackman.

The Chelsea loanee broke his leg in an U23s fixture against Birmingham City last Friday and he has since returned to Stamford Bridge to start his rehabilitation.

The 25-year-old suffered a broken tibia in the development game and looks to be out for the foreseeable future.

Now that the on-loan stopper will be spending a prolonged period on the sidelines, Marcelo Bielsa will be looking for another keeper to compete with the only other senior stopper at the club, Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

With that said, we posed the question to Leeds' fans and asked them if they would be happy with the signing of Heaton.

From the results, it looks like a landslide victory with the 84 per cent majority of those who voted feeling that they would be happy with the signing of Heaton from Premier League side Burnley to cover for the injured Blackman.

It would be a coup if Leeds were able to pull off a deal that could even be the difference between them staying in the Championship or progressing to the top tier.

Conversely, 16 per cent were in opposition of this deal happening with the minority of the fans who voted deciding they would not be happy with the goalkeeper’s arrival, should Bielsa indeed move for the Turf Moor goalkeeper.

It all remains to be seen, but judging by this verdict from the supporters who voted, plenty of them would be happy to see Heaton at Elland Road.
