Tyrhys Dolan may be set to depart Ewood Park this summer, with three clubs hoping to sign the Blackburn Rovers player.

According to Talksport’s Geoff Peters, the forward is a transfer target for Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers, as well as recently-promoted Nottingham Forest.

It is believed that a fee of £2-3 million could be enough to tempt Blackburn into a potential sale.

Dolan has two years left on his deal at the club, having come through the academy.

This has been his second season competing at senior level for Rovers, starting 30 games in that period.

The forward has seven goals in the Championship as Blackburn finished 15th and 8th in those two campaigns.

Here we look at his stats during that time to see what he could offer the likes of Celtic, Rangers and Forest… 

From 34 appearances this season, Dolan has scored four goals and earned three assists.

However, looking deeper into those numbers we can get a bigger picture of what the player could add to one of his potential new clubs.

Courtesy of stats from Sofascore, the forward is completing 0.9 shots per game, with 0.6 shots per game being on target.

That shows that while he is not getting away a lot of shots he is getting a decent quality of shots off.

If he could continue to keep this many of his shots on target while increasing his overall number of attempts then he could significantly increase his chances of becoming a prolific scorer.

75 per cent of his goals have come from inside the box, but the sample size is still quite low here so it is difficult to really suggest that he is primarily a poacher, fox-in-the-box type.

Of his four league goals this season, three came from his right foot and one was a header, which is promising that he has the aerial ability to be a threat in the air.

Dolan is completing 0.5 key passes per game, which highlights that he can be a creative force, but not on a consistent basis.

Earning greater playing time will help to increase these numbers, but for now he is showing he can be a dependable second choice striker to come off the bench.

His passing accuracy is 83 per cent so he retains the ball quite well for someone who is largely playing in the opposition final third.

If he could become more incisive while keeping that number as high then he could become a real threat in the attacking phase of the game and be a huge asset to whoever he plays for next season.
