It was another convincing display from Leeds United on Saturday afternoon, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side sweeping aside Norwich City at Carrow Road with a 3-0 victory.

Leeds were superior in every department, with Mateusz Klich and Ezgjan Alioski firing the Whites into a first-half lead, which Norwich couldn’t recover from.

In the second-half, Leeds turned on the class as they eased to victory, with Pablo Hernandez curling an effort beyond Tim Krul for the pick of Leeds’ goals.

Hernandez is the latest feature of our FLW Spotlight:

The 33-year-old completed 79 minutes of Saturday’s clash, and of course, scored the game’s third goal with an excellent curling effort.

Hernandez completed one successful dribble during his time on the field, whilst also making 51 passes, which included three long balls.

His passing was exceptional, coming at a completion rate of 82%, as the midfielder continues to hit consistent numbers when in possession.

It wasn’t just the Spaniard’s attacking quality on show, with Hernandez making three tackles.

The Verdict

It’s been an exceptional start to the season for Leeds, with Hernandez unsurprisingly central to Bielsa’s side.

Wide on the right, the 33-year-old is bringing real class, roaming inside and causing numerous problems for the opposition.

On Saturday, Hernandez was at his best, playing a part in Klich’s opener, with his second-half goal a reward for a fine display.

His effort was the pick of the bunch for Leeds, and another reminder of the class he can bring at this level.

Bielsa might start having to manage Hernandez’s game time in the coming weeks, but whilst he continues to perform like this, he is amongst the first names on the teamsheet.
