Swansea City winger Jefferson Montero is back at the Welsh side this season after two loan spells away from the club in the last two years.

After relegation from the Premier League, the Swans have been fortunate enough to keep hold of the energetic wide man.

The £1.35m-rated Ecuador international has featured four times for Graham Potter’s men this season but is yet to start a match.

Montero has started as a substitute all season, but his most effective performance came this past Saturday when he came on for ten-man Swansea with 24 minutes left, trailing 1-0 to Millwall at The Den.

In the time he was on the pitch, the 29-year-old was instrumental in getting the unlikeliest of victories.

The winger assisted both the Swans’ goals and was a constant threat down the left-hand side in what was a virtuoso performance.

With that said, here at FLW, we asked Swansea City supporters if they felt, that after his impressive came display in the win over Millwall, should Montero be starting for the club in the next fixture?

Unsurprisingly, the majority of Swans fans polled were in agreement that Montero should indeed start the club’s next league fixture against Nottingham Forest at the Liberty Stadium, with 82 per cent agreeing a starting berth is deserved.

Conversely, 18 per cent disagreed that the Ecuador international should be starting for the club despite his two-assist salvo at The Den on the weekend.
