Sunderland continued their battle against relegation with a rallying display against Bristol City at the weekend.

The first-half, of course, had relegation bound written all over it but in the second-half the Black Cats took the Tip-Ex to such a statement and showed that there's still some fight in them.

For sure, they'll need to use the 3-3 draw as a springboard for the rest of the campaign and our latest FLW Spotlight subject might just need to be the man that leads them in that aim - Aiden McGeady:

McGeady, at times this season, has been inconsistent this season out on the wing and that has left him out of the side with Chris Coleman clearly still unsure whether he wants to use him or not.

After a fine display against the Robins at the weekend, though, he's shown he's got the extra bit of creativity Sunderland are going to need in the coming months.

With six goals and three assists, too, he has done a good job in still contributing despite his inconsistencies and his experience is something the Black Cats need going forwards.

For sure, there's an element of risk with McGeady that he might still be hit or miss in the games ahead but Coleman might just have to play the percentages with him.

McGeady only needs to have good games in potentially half of the remaining fixtures to get his side safe and with him still looking more capable than most to produce the magic, it's worth making him a regular.
