Still possessing an outside chance of securing a Championship play-off spot in what remains of this season, this campaign has been a rollercoaster ride for QPR fans.

The R's enjoyed a very good start to the 2021/22 season, something that persisted into the middles stages of the term.

Whilst it was a victory last time out, courtesy of Luke Amos' late strike at home to Derby County, the R's had only picked up a mere point in their last six.

Possessing some tough fixtures to end the campaign with, there could still be a late of drama during the concluding stages, with the possibility of playing their football in the Premier League football next season still lingering.

Whilst we wait to see what happens in the remaining three matches, here, we take a look at eight current QPR players who could be sold, loaned or released during the summer transfer window...

Seny Dieng caught the interest at Sheffield United last summer, and after a season - when he has been available - of shining in a QPR shirt, it will be no surprise if interest accumulates in the immediate future.

Sheffield United were eventually put off by the £12 million price tag on his name, but that was because the R's were cautious of allowing him to join a Championship rival.

His performances this season would justify interest from the Premier League.

With a contract expiring in 2023, it remains to be seen what happens with Chris Willock's immediate future at QPR.

Often looking a level above at Rangers, the midfielder has seven goals and 11 assists in 35 appearances in the Championship this season, proving to be an extremely part of Mark Warburton's side.

Willock certainly has the ability to cut it in England's top tier, but is another who is currently injured and will miss the remainder of the season.

George Thomas is another whose contract expires in the summer of 2023, however, his lack of action would justify the R's parting company shortly.

Thomas may have seen more minutes over the last few weeks, however, with QPR rumoured to be looking at Elliot Anderson, it is likely that they will add another attacking midfielder in the summer.

David Marshall has not enjoyed the best of times at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium thus far, as he has not been able to take advantage of the opportunities that have been presented to him.

Signing a short-term contract in January, it would be no surprise if the R's parted company with the Scotsman when summer comes around.

The QPR goalkeeping department has suffered throughout this campaign with injury, so it would be no surprise to see focus placed there in the summer.

Yoann Barbet has emerged as an integral figure within the QPR squad over the years, with the 28-year-old being ever-present in the R's starting XIs.

The Frenchman has featured 39 times this season under Mark Warburton, with the QPR boss already stating that he wants the defender to sign fresh terms at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

With a contract that is ticking down, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Barbet and if any other clubs put forward any enticing proposals.

Charlie Kelman is another who has a contract expiring in the summer of 2023, with the young forward currently on loan at League One strugglers Gillingham.

The 20-year-old, who arrived from Southend United in 2020, has featured 23 times for the Gills this season, scoring two goals as the club look to survive the third-tier drop.

To bridge the gap from the bottom of League One to near the top of the Championship, it would be no surprise if the young forward embarks on a loan stint slightly higher up next season.

QPR certainly have. a decision to make about the immediate future of Olamide Shodipo when summer comes around.

The winger's progress on loan at Sheffield Wednesday has been severely hampered by injury, however, he is now back fit and will be hoping to end the season on somewhat of a high.

Undoubtedly an exciting player with a lot of desirable attributes, his time with the Owls was supposed to be a stint to bridge the gap to regularly play Championship football.

Seeing his contract expire in 2022, it would be no surprise if fresh terms were not met with Dom Ball, with the R's now possessing some strong options in the midfield position.

A West London report from just before the closure of the January transfer window suggested that Ball could have departed then.

Since then, Ball has played juts 45 minutes of football, perhaps a sign that his future at the Championship club could well be over.
