Leyton Orient have had a bit of a varied history especially in recent years.

After being relegated to non-league because of off the field issues, Orient worked their way back up and won the National League in 2019 and the FA Trophy in the same year.

They have remained in League Two since and this year have been worryingly close to the bottom of the league but look like they will remain safe.

Next season they will be hoping to push on and reach some higher heights again but as we wait for summer, we decided to take a look back at eight players you probably forgot ever played for Leyton Orient.

Coulthirst started his career in the Tottenham academy which led him to a loan at Leyton Orient in 2014 on a month-long deal.

Coulthirst scored his first senior goal on his debut in Orient's 4-0 win against Carlisle. He made another appearances but despite doing rather well in his first two games, the loan wasn't extended and he returned to Tottenham.

After a series of loan spells, the striker left Tottenham permanently for Peterborough United in 2016 where he made his name becoming a regular there.

He went on to play for Barnet in the National League scoring 23 goals in 81 league games but following problems with injuries now finds himself at Ebbsfleet United scoring three goals in 19 appearances so far.

Taylor is another player who was loaned out to Leyton Orient. He started his career with Reading and joined Orient from January until the end of the season in 2015.

However, the loan did not go to plan for the midfielder who only made three appearances in his time with the club.

Ahead of the 2015-16 season, Taylor signed for Exeter and was a regular there for a number of years in League Two.

This season he signed for Stevenage and has made 36 appearances contributing three goals this season.

Canadian winger Michael Petrasso came to England in 2012 to join QPR's youth system.

During his time with QPR, Petrasso joined Leyton Orient on loan. The loan didn't go well with Petrasso substituted off on his debut and he only made three appearances for the club.

After a loan spell at Notts County, Petrasso headed back home and played for a couple of Canadian sides before signing for York United.

Last season he was back in England for a year when he was on loan with Barnet scoring eight goals in 28 league games but returned to York United at the end of the season where he remains.

Chicksen has had two spell with Leyton Orient but both remarkably short ones.

He originally joined Orient on loan for a month in 2012. He made three appearances and was positive about his time with the club but returned to parent club MK Dons where he then broke into the first team.

Chicksen joined Brighton but after struggling with injury saw a series of loan spells away including a second term with Orient in 2015.

It was a one month deal again and he made six appearances in the short time.

Since his loan spells, Chicksen has played for Charlton, Bradford and Bolton and is currently in the National League with Notts County.

The 23-year-old midfielder started his career with Leyton Orient coming through the youth system.

He made his debut for Orient in 2017 coming on as a substitute in his side's 4-1 defeat against Stevenage.

In his second game for the club, he scored his first senior goal with his side being the high scoring team this time beating Newport County 4-0.

He made 12 appearances for Orient and as a result was bought by Brighton. He has made a fair number of Premier League appearances since joining but has only made nine appearances this season having spent time out with an ankle injury.

Lundstram is another player who has had two spells with Leyton Orient.

Originally from Liverpool, the midfielder came through Everton's academy during which time he was loaned out to Leyton Orient. Initially on a one month deal in 2014, his loan deal was extended after he made five appearances for the side.

In the season which Orient reached the play-offs, Lundstram stayed with them during this time and came on a substitute in the final in which he took a penalty and scored. Unfortunately though Orient did not go up and the player returned to his parent club.

In 2015, he re-joined Orient on loan claiming he had 'unfinished business' with the club. However, after four appearances he returned to his parent club.

The 28-year-old went on to sign for Oxford United and played in the Premier League with Sheffield United.

He is now at Rangers having made 23 appearances so far this season.

Adeboyejo broke through to senior football from Orient's academy in 2014 and made his debut as a substitute for Jobi McAnuff.

During his time with Orient, the striker went on a number of youth loans.

He left Orient in 2017 with 15 appearances and a goal to his name.

Adeboyejo went to play for Barnsley and got himself regular Championship playing time with the club. Despite a couple of loan spells away in recent years, he has made 21 appearances for the Tykes this season and scored three goals.

Robbie Simpson started his senior career with Cambridge City where he made over 100 appearances.

After moving to Cambridge United he played for a number of league clubs including Coventry City, Huddersfield Town and Oldham Athletic.

The forward signed for Leyton Orient on an initial two month deal in 2013 which was then extended until the end of the season.

However, in 14 appearances he failed to score a goal for the club and was released at the end of the season after being on the bench for the play-off final.

After Orient he went back to Cambridge United and has since played for Exeter and MK Dons before dropping down to Chelmsford where he is now player-manager.
