Luton Town are set for an interesting summer ahead, with a number of players' contracts set to expire at the end of this year's campaign.

The Hatters are currently sat 13th in the Championship table, and will be hoping they can build on some strong performances in the second-tier this term.

Luton had previously been struggling to stay afloat in the Championship, but have shown much-needed improvement in the 2020/21 season.

Nathan Jones' side beat relegation-threatened Wycombe Wanderers in their most recent match, and will be looking to pick up another three points when they return to action this weekend against high-flying Watford at Kenilworth Road.

We take a look at EIGHT Luton Town players that the club could sell or released ahead of what could be a busy summer transfer window.

Danny Hylton is the first player on the list, with it looking as though the experienced forward will be heading for the Kenilworth Road exit door in the summer.

The forward signed for the club back in 2016, and played his part in the club's promotion-winning campaign in the 2018/19 season.

But he has found regular game time hard to come by with Luton Town in the last couple of seasons in particular, and with his contract being set to expire in the summer, it seems highly likely that he'll depart.

It'll be interesting to see which club looks to sign Hylton, as he's already shown that he can perform to a high standard in the lower leagues of the EFL.

Sonny Bradley is the next player on the list, with the Luton Town defender's contract being set to expire at the end of the 2020/21 season.

Bradley has been a regular for the Hatters over the years, but it remains to be seen as to whether he'll remain at Kenilworth Road ahead of next year's campaign.

Bradley has also been linked with a move to Preston North End earlier in this 2020/21 season, although it remains to be seen as to whether they have followed up their interest in signing the defender with an official offer.

He could be moved on to make way for new signings in the summer transfer window, although some of the club's supporters will be eager to see Bradley remain with Luton.

George Moncur is next up, with the central midfielder making just 22 appearances in all competitions this season for Nathan Jones' side.

He first signed for the club back in 2019, and has made 56 appearances in total for Luton Town, having previously been on the books with West Ham United earlier in his career.

But with the arrival of Leicester City loanee Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the summer, Moncur has found regular game time hard to come by in the Championship this term.

With his contract set to expire in the summer, Moncur could be another player whose contract isn't renewed at the end of the 2020/21 season.

Luke Berry has been with the club since 2017, having previously played his football with the likes of Cambridge United and Barnsley earlier in his career.

The midfielder has made 32 appearances in all competitions for the Hatters this term, as they currently sit 13th in the Championship table.

Berry is out-of-contract at the end of the 2020/21 season, although the club do hold an option to extend his stay by a further year if they wish to do so.

They could be tempted to move him on after four years of service for the Hatters at Kenilworth Road, as they look to build on an impressive league campaign to date this term.

James Collins is a player that has established himself as a firm fans favourite with Luton Town supporters over the years.

The Irish international signed for the Hatters back in 2017, and played a key role in the club's promotion-winning season in the 2019/19 campaign.

Collins has gone on to score 70 goals for the club in total so far, but is out-of-contract at the end of the 2020/21 season.

The likes of Preston North End and Derby County are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Collins, and it seems as though it'll be an interesting few months to see where his future lies.

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu has been a regular for Luton Town over the years, after first signing for the club back in 2014.

The midfielder has been impressive for the Hatters, and has certainly adjusted well to the step up to the Championship, after they won promotion into the second-tier in the 2018/19 season.

Mpanzu has made 40 appearances in all competitions this season, and will be hoping he can finish this year's campaign strongly under the management of Nathan Jones.

The midfielder's contract is set to expire in the summer, although Luton hold the option to extend that deal by a further year.

Kazenga LuaLua is another player that has found regular game time hard to come by this season, with the midfielder making 23 appearances in all competitions for Luton Town this term.

LuaLua has recently admitted in a recent interview that he has found his lack of minutes tough to take in, which is understandable for many players.

He first signed for the club in 2018, and has previously been on the books with the likes of Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion earlier in his career.

His contract is set to expire in the summer of 2021, and you couldn't blame LuaLua for having an eye on a move elsewhere, as he goes in search of regular game time.

Joe Morrell is the last name on the list, with the Welshman struggling for consistent game time since signing for the club in October 2020.

He had previously been on the books with Bristol City, and had loan spells with the likes of Lincoln City and Cheltenham Town whilst with the Robins.

Morrell has made just 11 appearances in all competitions, and will surely cut a frustrated figure at Kenilworth Road at the moment, as it's not been the move he would have originally hoped for in terms of game time.

It wouldn't come as a surprise to see Luton Town look at the possibility of cashing in on Morrell during the summer transfer window.
