After moving into the Premier League and attacking their first year in the top-flight with real confidence, Leeds United will be looking to build again in the 2021/22 season.

Leeds had 16 years of hurt in the EFL and, naturally, they are enjoying playing Premier League football once more.

With a mid-table finish all-but nailed this season, focus is drifting to the summer and building for 2021/22.

Like any club’s supporters, Leeds fans want to know about who will be added to Marcelo Bielsa’s squad for the new campaign, particularly after the success of players like Raphinha.

However, what about those players that could well be heading for the Elland Road exit door?

We identify EIGHT that Leeds could be moving on…

The Spanish goalkeeper has made only one appearance in the Premier League this season, with Illan Meslier firmly in-charge of the gloves.

Casilla’s spell in England has soured after the racism charges against him in 2019/20, and it feels like he should be one player moved on this summer.

Alioski is out of contract at Elland Road and, as things stand, he’s yet to commit to Leeds.

Given it is widely expected that Leeds will chase a left-back in the summer, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Alioski moved on to a new challenge for 2021/22.

Hernandez has been a great servant to Leeds over the years and, without him, they wouldn’t have been promoted to the Premier League.

However, it appears that the Spaniard’s age has finally caught up with him and it seems like he will be moving on from Leeds in the summer.

An emotional goodbye looms.

Gotts was a player that Bielsa liked in Leeds’ under-23s, but he only managed three appearances for the senior side at Elland Road before loans with Lincoln City and Salford City.

He’s been good with the latter, but Bielsa’s tendency to keep his most valued 23s close to him, and Gotts moving out on loan, suggests there might not be a future for him at Elland Road.

That’s a shame, but it’s where Leeds are right now.

Another youngster who has spent time out on loan this season is Hosannah.

He’s been with Bradford City, but a hamstring injury has plagued him and his 2021/22 season was brought to a premature end.

Given that injury and the fact his development out on loan has been impacted, we may well see another agreement.

That could even be with Bradford.

This is a tough one to call as Costa is superb back-up to Jack Harrison and Raphinha.

However, he’s a saleable asset and, arguably, an expensive option to have kicking around in the background.

It’s a decision that needs careful consideration.

McCalmont has been out on Oldham Athletic on loan this season, really thriving with nine goals.

However, a lot like Gotts, you can’t be sure what the future lies for the former under-23 midfielder.

Your gut feeling is that he won’t be playing football in Leeds’ first team next season.

Finally, we finish with a man that’s very on topic at Elland Road right now.

Forshaw is battling back from almost two years on the sidelines and has a first team return in his sights.

However, what we can expect is hard to call, as the fact is that Forshaw has been out of action for so long.

Depending how the next few months go, he might be someone Leeds plan for without.
