It could be a rather tense end to the season for Kilmarnock.

Heading into the final few games of the campaign, Killie are currently sat in the relegation/promotion play-off place in the Scottish Premiership table, meaning the division they play in next season is still far from certain.

Even so, it will no doubt be a busy summer for the club, as they look to bounce back from the disappointment of the season so far.

That will no doubt mean moving certain players on from the club in order to make room for potential new recruits, or to receive a decent fee for some of their more valuable assets.

So here, we've taken a look at eight players who we could see sold or released by Kilmarnock during the summer transfer window.

One Kilmarnock player who may attract attention during the summer transfer window, is Chris Burke.

With nine goals and three assists, Burke has provided Killie's most potent attacking threat this season, which could see him receive offers from elsewhere with his contract set to expire this summer, and that might make it hard to keep him at Rugby Park.

One Kilmarnock player who is certain to be on the move this summer, is striker Eamonn Brophy.

After three-and-a-half years at Rugby Park, Brophy signed a pre-contract agreement with St Mirren in the January transfer window, which will make his move permanent in the summer, with the 25-year-old already on loan with the Buddies until the end of the campaign.

Lafferty has certainly made quite an impact since returning to Scottish football with Kilmarnock in Feburary, scoring six goals in six appearances in all competitions for the club.

The striker only signed a short-term deal until the end of the season however, and with that return likely to catch a few eyes, it could be difficult for Kilmarnock to secure a new contract for the 33-year-old, particularly if they suffer relegation.

Having return to Kilmarnock on loan from Celtic last season, Mulumbu made his move back to Rugby Park permanent last summer.

Since then however, the midfielder has started just six league games this season, and with the 34-year-old out of contract at Killie at the end of this season, that may mean he is one the club could look to move on this summer, as he approaches the latter stages of his career.

Following his release by Stevenage at the end of last season, Dabo completed a move to Kilmarnock at the start of 2021.

But having made that move, Dabo has struggled to make an impact at Rugby Park, with the midfielder starting just one league game for the club, which doesn't bode well for his chances of securing a new deal when his current contract expires this summer.

After joining Kilmarnock from Aberdeen last summer, Rogers had started the season as the club's number one between the posts.

However, the arrival of Colin Doyle on loan from Hearts, combined with injury, appear to have pushed Rogers - who has been guilty of errors on occasion this season - down the goalkeeping pecking order at Rugby Park, meaning his future may be under scrutiny when his contract expires this summer.

Having Kilmarnock on a permanent deal until the end of the season from Bulgaria second division side Pirin Blagoevrad back in January, things haven't really worked out for George Oakley.

For one reason or another, the striker has made just four league appearances for Killie since his move, failing to score or provide an assist, meaning it may be challenging for him to secure a new deal at Rugby Park.

Dikamona joined Kilmarnock from Hearts back in the summer transfer window, but has since found himself rather in and out of the side.

The defender has started just ten league games for Killie since the start of the campaign, settling for a place on the bench in another 13, suggesting he may not be top of the pecking at Rugby Park, meaning he could be a candidate to be moved on when his contract expires this summer.
