Celtic could be in for an interesting summer ahead, with the club looking to win back the Scottish Premiership title that they lost this season.

It's been a frustrating league campaign for the Bhoys, as they're currently sat second in the table, and an eye-opening 20 points adrift of runaway title-winners Rangers.

Celtic have struggled for a positive run of results for much of this season, with Steven Gerrard's Rangers' side showing the consistency required to clinch the league title.

There are players out-of-contract at the end of this year's campaign though, whilst the club could look to move on some players ahead of the 2021/22 season, where they'll be looking to win the league title.

We take a look at EIGHT players that Celtic could sell or release ahead of a busy summer transfer window.

Find out which players is first up on the list, on the next page....

Anthony Ralston is first up, with the Celtic right-back only having one year left on his current contract with the club.

He has come through the club's academy system, but has found regular game time hard to come by, with the defender being out on loan with the likes of Dundee United and St Johnstone in recent seasons.

Leigh Griffiths is next on the list, with the Scottish forward being out-of-contract at the end of the 2021/22 season.

Griffiths has made over 250 appearances for Celtic, but it has recently been claimed that he could join Hibernian if the Bhoys were to sign another striker in the near future.

Patryk Klimala has been with the club since 2020, but it seems as though his days at Celtic Park could be numbered.

The Daily Record have recently reported that Klimala could be sold to American side New York Red Bulls in the summer transfer window.

Jack Hendry is next up, with the defender being linked with a permanent exit from Celtic Park in the future.

He is currently out on loan with Belgian side K.V. Oostende, who are believed to be keen on a deal to sign the defender.

Edouard has arguably been Celtic's most consistent performer over the years, with the Bhoys forward scoring 81 goals in 163 appearances for the club so far.

But he has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months, and it'll be interesting to see whether he Edouard wants to move on in the summer transfer window.

Perez has been with the club since 2019, but is yet to make an appearance for Celtic's first-team.

He was out on loan with North Carolina FC last season, and is out-of-contract at the end of the 2021/22 season, which could hint that his long-term future lies elsewhere.

Hazard has been with the club since 2014, and has gone on to make just eight appearances for the Bhoys' first-team.

At the age of 23, he might be tempted to move on permanently in the summer transfer window, as he goes in search of regular game time.

Leo Hjelde is the last name on the list, with the Celtic youngster attracting interest early into his career.

The 17-year-old is currently out on loan with Ross County, but is wanted by Premier League side Southampton ahead of the summer transfer window.
