Kevin Wimmer
Stoke paid Tottenham a reported £18million for the signing of Wimmer in the summer of 2017, in a deal that never worked out.
The defender rarely provided any protection as part of Stoke’s back line, and managed just 17 league appearances as the Potters were relegated from the Premier League in his first season.
Shipped out on loan several times over, Wimmer never made another appearance for Stoke, and had his contract terminated last summer to allow him to join Rapid Vienna in a native Austria on a free, finishing third in the Austrian top-flight last season.
