Middlesbrough starlet Bilal Brahimi is on the radar of five clubs this summer, according to reports in France.

French media outlet Foot Mercato is reporting that a trio of Premier League clubs and a Spanish duo are all lining up moves for Brahimi, who has impressed in the youth system at Middlesbrough.

The exciting young winger played predominantly for Boro's under-23 side last season but also for their under-18 outfit and he had an impressive return of eight goals and 14 assists in 25 games for the academy sides.

This has not gone unnoticed with three Premier League clubs readying swoops.

Merseyside rivals Everton and Liverpool are set to go head-to-head in the battle to land Brahimi while Newcastle United are also interested in the wide man.

The 18-year-old is on the radar of two teams in Spain as well, with Real Betis and Valencia considering approaches.

Brahimi only moved to the Riverside Stadium last summer, having previously played in France, Spain and Portugal.

But after a stunning season in the North East, a number of clubs are already looking to persuade the young Frenchman to move away from Middlesbrough and join their club.

The Verdict

The stats do not lie: Brahimi is a very exciting and talented youngster with goals and assist up his sleeve.

He clearly looks head and shoulders above other players in his age group and perhaps a first-team spot could be on the cards for him at Boro next year if he stays.

But the lure of clubs like Liverpool, Valencia, Everton and Newcastle may be difficult for the Franco-Algerian winger-cum-striker to resist.
