Fulham have had an excellent season but if they fail to win promotion via the play-offs, then they are potentially likely to lose a number of key players this summer.

West Ham United are reportedly keeping their tabs on a number of Fulham's stars ahead of a possible summer raid on Craven Cottage if Slavisa Jokanovic's men stay down.

A recent report by football.london revealed that West Ham could snap up Jokanovic as their new manager if they choose to part ways with David Moyes and they will also target right-back Ryan Fredericks on a free transfer, captain Tom Cairney, goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli and on-loan striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

But should the Hammers be looking at midfielder Stefan Johansen instead?

Here, FLW shines a spotlight on Johansen's season for Fulham and considers whether he would be a good addition for West Ham.

Johansen's statistics are pretty impressive, with a haul of eight goals and eight assists for the Cottagers this season.

Considering he plays in the same position as Cairney, he has three more goals and three more assists than the Fulham captain, who receives plenty of accolades and was shortlisted for the Championship Player of the Year award.

With an average of two key passes per game, the 27-year-old is always creating chances and his pass completion rate is high - over 80 per cent are successful.

The 39-cap Norway international has bundles of energy and he never stops running but he has come in for criticism among Fulham supporters this year for his lack of consistency.

There are question marks over whether Johansen could make the step-up to the Premier League and actually improve West Ham's ranks.

While there is no doubt that Johansen is a key man in the Championship, this would be risky business for West Ham and they should probably consider other options instead.
