Nottingham Forest will be hoping that they can make it through to the fifth round of the League Cup for the first time since 1995, as they look to take on Burton Albion on Tuesday night.

The Reds have beaten Bury, Newcastle United and Stoke City to get to where they are now, and will be looking for revenge on Tuesday night after being robbed of all three points away at Leeds United at the weekend.

The Brewers will be well up for the clash of course – they have already beaten higher competition in Aston Villa and Burnley to get where they are now, so Forest will have to be at the top of their game to avoid an upset.

The league is obviously the main priority for Aitor Karanka, so he's bound to make changes having already done so in the Carabao Cup this season.

Here, we take a look at the XI Karanka is likely to field against Nigel Clough's Burton on Tuesday night...

Steele's only appearances for Forest this season have come in the Carabao Cup, and the 34-year-old is likely to reclaim his place in the team tonight.

Janko missed out on Forest's last four league games due to a minor injury, but the 23-year-old is expected to return to the side tonight in order to regain match fitness.

Dawson has been solid of late, and his experience and knowhow at the back will be vital if Forest are to progress on Tuesday night.

Danny Fox is expecting to miss out on Tuesday night after aggravating a foot problem at the weekend, therefore the German Hefele is expected to replace the centre-half.

Jack Robinson has been absolutely magnificent for Forest of late, and the left-back is expected to keep his place in the side after netting at Elland Road at the weekend.

Yacob is yet to make an appearance for Forest since his arrival from West Brom on a free transfer in the summer, but is likely to start tonight in place of Jack Colback, who will miss Saturday's clash with Sheffield United through suspension.

This next choice is a tough one - Panagiotis Tachtsidis is another player who is yet to feature for Forest, but Liam Bridcutt may be given one last chance to impress before being sold in January.

The 29-year-old has made two appearances in the competition this season and is likelier out of the two to start.

Cash has been in and out of the first team switching around with Gil Dias, but should definitely start tonight.

The 21-year old has netted four times this season, two of those goals coming in the Carabao Cup, and is expected to start tonight.

Osborn is Forest's utility man, and is likely to feature behind the striker tonight after performances playing out on the left.

Tuesday night could mark a return to the side for Diogo Goncalves - he has made just one appearance for Forest since being sent off against Stoke in the previous round.

But the exciting winger has been impressive for Portugal under-21s of late, and would add real pace and flair to the Forest team tonight.

Completing the team is Hillal Soudani, who is very likely to replace Lewis Grabban after his return from injury.

The 30-year-old has scored two goals in two starts for Forest, and will be looking to hit the ground running on Tuesday night.
