There is still plenty to decide this season for Charlton Athletic both on and off the field.

They are currently battling against relegation whilst those higher up in the club also fight to decide who should be in control of proceedings at The Valley.

But, sooner or later, the transfer window will open again and Charlton will need to hunt out deals to strengthen Lee Bowyer's side.

Here we take a look at EIGHT wonderkids that should be on the club's radar in the summer...

He only made the move to Cambridge during the summer but already looks like he has a future higher in the EFL.

Eight goals to his name as a 20-year-old is not to be sniffed at and he could prove to be a shrewd signing for The Addicks, especially if they lose attacking talent.

Another talent unearthed by Colchester United, Poke has been brilliant this season.

29 appearances in League Two have yielded five goals and four assists and the 18-year-old winger should definitely be on the radar of Lee Bowyer this summer.

The 21-year-old left-back has netted three times and assisted five more for Crewe this season as they challenge for automatic promotion.

With limited options on the left-hand side of defence, he would be worth monitoring for the Addicks.

The centre-back has been a favourite of Ian Holloway's at Grimsby Town and it is easy to see why.

He is only 18 but looks accomplished at the back already, making 26 appearances this season in total. A potentially wise investment for The Addicks.

Rotherham remain locked in a promotion battle in League One, but should they fail, Wiles should be looked at.

Charlton have struggled in central midfield since Gallagher's departure and with six assists and three goals this season, Wiles has the potential to fill that void.

It would be very easy to be put off moving for any Southend players given how disastrous a season they have had, but Kelman is someone who has made the most of it.

The 18-year-old has made 19 appearances in all competitions and found the net seven times so far. He looks at home in League One already so definitely has the potential to thrive in the Championship too.

Another potential long-term solution to their midfield issues comes in the form of the Rochdale man.

Morley has scored three and assisted three more already this season and, having only just turned 20, still clearly has a lot of improving still to do.

Sykes has been an ever-present in John Coleman's Accrington side this season and looks destined to play at a higher level soon.

Charlton need more depth at the back and Sykes could represent a very smart investment.
