Coventry City have had a fine season and with a handful of games left in the Sky Bet Championship, they are still in with a shout of the play-off places.

The Sky Blues saw a dip in form a few weeks ago that suggested they might be running out of steam but they've found another gear of late and have played themselves back into contention, with us set up for a grandstand finish in the fight for the top six in the second tier.

Certainly, you have to credit their work and performances this season and regardless of what happens in the final weeks they need to now build on it with a positive summer.

We could see some exits as part of that, too, so here are 8 players that could move on from the club in the coming transfer window when it opens up for business this summer...

Julien Dacosta is a player that hasn't managed to force his way in at Coventry during his time at the club and it would surely make sense for him to now move on permanently.

He has been out on loan this season and that, at the very least, is what he should be looking to do again next year, though it would surely make sense for a permanent exit to be sorted for all involved.

Fabio Tavares is a young forward who could potentially benefit from a loan spell away next season.

He's yet to feature too much for the first team since arriving at Coventry and it appears apparent that he needs more game time at a senior level, rather than in the u23s.

If Coventry do not feel they can offer that to him next season, then maybe it's time for a loan deal next season to be agreed.

Ryan Howley is in a similar position to Tavares in many respects.

He is a good young player but there could be a case to suggest that it is the best move for him if he goes out on loan in the summer transfer window and starts playing regularly elsewhere.

He is still a teenager, so time is very much on his side but the right move for his development still needs to be made.

Josh Eccles has not featured much for Coventry and it could be time for him to move on in the summer.

As per transfermarkt, his contract is up at the end of this season and though injuries and illness have not helped his cause in recent weeks to try and earn playing time, it could be for the good of his career if he opts to leave the Sky Blues for pastures new once the summer window opens.

Ben Wilson is behind Simon Moore in the goalkeeping pecking order at Coventry City and so that always means a lack of game time.

At 29, Wilson may be weighing up his options as he'd surely rather be playing rather than being a no.2 goalkeeper at this stage of his career.

Perhaps we'll see an exit for him this summer, then, as he looks to get more minutes than he has this season for Coventry.

Jordan Shipley is seeing his contract running out and so it is very possible he could be leaving the club on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.

He is a player that still has lots to offer the right club, but with him not featuring a massive amount this season for the Sky Blues, perhaps a new club would be the best option for him this summer.

We'll see what unfolds with this one.

Jodi Jones is a wonderful footballer but he has had no luck with injuries, with him picking up another recently, and with his contract running down though there could well be a chance he moves on from the club this summer.

Perhaps a new start elsewhere is what he needs, and whoever picks him up could feel it's worth a punt given the talent that he does have.

He's still a relatively young player, too, and it'll be interesting to see what happens to him.

Tyler Walker has been out on loan of late with Portsmouth so it's obviously possible another agreement like that could be struck in the summer window.

Mark Robins will have been tracking the forward's pretty tough spell at Fratton Park and will surely already have in mind what he wants to do with the player next season.

Coventry have some good attacking options in place already, and Walker knows the sort of challenge he needs to step up to if he is to feature for the Sky Blues next season.
