Reading are now without a win in seven games following a 2-2 draw with Leeds United on Saturday in the Sky Bet Championship.

Fortunately for the Royals, Birmingham lost again which means they remain six points clear of the relegation zone with a game in hand, although that is at leaders Wolves tomorrow.

If Jaap Stam’s men are to get anything from Molineux they will need a big performance from Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, who is returning to his former club.

The Icelandic international scored the opener against Leeds which was his seventh Championship goal of the season and made it four in his last seven league appearances.

It capped off a hardworking performance, as our graphic shows, with the 25-year old causing trouble to the Whites backline because of his physicality.

His aerial dominance was particularly impressive although he will need to improve his passing as the success percentage was extremely poor against the Yorkshire side.

However, in the Royals position, Bodvarsson could be the ideal frontman for Stam. His speed and size makes his a real handful for opposition defenders and more importantly, he has started to score goals in the past six weeks.

Reading will be nervously looking over their shoulder with relegation a worrying possibility for fans but Bodvarsson could be the man to ensure those fears ease quickly.
