Bristol City slumped to a third consecutive loss against Huddersfield Town last night in arguably the poorest display the Robins have produced all season.

When the two sides met at Ashton Gate in November, Lee Johnson's side dominated the Terriers but this time they struggled to get any sort of control in the game.

19th-place Huddersfield were in the ascendancy from the start and deservedly took the lead just before the break through Chris Willock, who smashed his effort in off the post.

The Robins improved after the break but things soon got worse for them as Karlan Grant put Danny Cowley's men two up from the penalty spot.

Despite Famara Diedhiou's late goal, City were unable to get back into the game and slumped to yet another defeat.

It was an evening that the whole side will likely want to forget as soon as possible, particularly as they travel to the Den to face Millwall on Saturday.

Perhaps the only City player that can reflect on the game with his head held high is Dan Bentley, who put in yet another assured performance.

We put a spotlight on the goalkeeper's display to examine just how impressive it was...

There were questions raised about whether Bentley had the quality to be a top Championship keeper during his last season at Brentford but since arriving at Ashton Gate this summer, he has answered them.

The City shot-stopper has put in excellent performance after excellent performance and very rarely has a bad game. On multiple occasions, the 26-year-old has salvaged points and victories from games where Johnson's men didn't deserve them.

Sadly for the Robins, yesterday was not one of those days.

Even so, it was an admirable display by Bentley, with his teammates struggling to get anything going around him. The 26-year-old wore the captain's armband and certainly led from the front.

Think you know City? Take our quiz to test yourself!

City conceded twice against the Terriers but it is tough to fault Bentley for either goal–Willock's powerful strike went in off the inside of the post, while Grant scored from a penalty.

Bentley saved every other shot at his goal, 75% of which with reflexes, including a quite miraculous save with his legs after a wicked deflection.

He dealt with aerial balls into the box well, making two exits, and distributed the ball impressively, finishing with a pass accuracy of 79%.

Amidst concerns of another long winless run for the Robins and Johnson's struggles to work out who is in his best XI and what shape it should take, there remains one key positive–the continued brilliance of Bentley.
