It has been a turbulent season for Norwich City, who have been both exciting and forgettable on occasions this term.

As a result, it has balanced out into mid-table mediocrity - something they will hope to improve on next year.

But some of the success stories at Norwich come from their younger players, who have really emerged this year and shone at Carrow Road.

James Maddison is the obvious example and the ex-Coventry boy is surely heading to the Premier League this summer.

But others like Josh Murphy and Jamal Lewis have impressed too.

Should Everton consider a move for Norwich left-back Lewis in the summer transfer window?

Here, FLW shines a spotlight on his season so far and considers whether the youngster would be a good fit at Goodison Park.

Lewis is far from the polished article, as shown by some of his statistics.

The 20-year-old only wins just over 30% of his aerial duels and has a relatively low tackle success rate of below 60%.

But, at such a young age, he is still learning at this level and is improving each week.

The Northern Ireland international has played 21 games in the Championship and he will only get better with each game he plays.

The youngster loves to bomb forward down the left flank and he makes nearly 40 passer per game on average at an impressive rate of just under 80%.

Lewis has a lot to learn still but he could do that at Everton, acting initially as Baines' back-up before taking the starting spot away from the former England international in due course.

Just two seasons ago, Everton fans would be telling you that they did not need a new left-back because by the time Baines had come to the end of his career, they would have Luke Garbutt and Brendan Galloway waiting in the wings, ready to fight it out for the starting spot.

But after two unsuccessful loan spells in the Championship, Galloway looks nowhere near being ready while Garbutt, 24, is going to be offloaded in the summer.

A new man is required at left-back and a youngster like Lewis would be a fantastic long-term project for Everton to invest in.
