Aston Villa face Derby County in the Championship play-off final at Wembley and manager Dean Smith faces plenty of important decisions ahead of the game.

Smith has a fully fit squad to choose from for the final and one player who is likely to start is right-back Ahmed Elmohamady, ahead of the experienced Alan Hutton.

Hutton has been an important player for Villa over the past few years, after joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2011, but his time at the club could be coming to an end this summer.

It was reported earlier this week that Villa are interested in signing Luton Town full-back James Justin for £7.5million, who is regarded as one of the best young defenders in the EFL.

If Villa complete the signing of Justin, that could spell the end for Hutton at Villa Park, with his current contract set to expire in the summer.

Here, we take a look at some of his stats for this season, to decide whether Villa should keep hold of the player...

Hutton has been an important player for Aston Villa in the Championship this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist for his teammates in 33 appearances.

The defender makes an average of 42.9 passes per game and has a pass success rate of 78.2%. The 34-year-old makes an average of 3.6 clearances per game and wins an average of 1.9 aerial duels per match.

His future at Villa Park is likely to depend on the outcome of the play-off final against Derby and whether the club sign the highly-rated Justin.

If Hutton does leave the club in the summer, his stats this season suggest that he could still be an important player for a number of teams in the Championship.
