Stoke City have had a pretty underwhelming start to the new season mustering just one win from their opening six fixtures.

Gary Rowett, 44, took charge in the summer and has so far overseen his side pick up three points in a narrow win over bottom of the league Reading.

Having to wait until the fifth game of the season to record their first win, the rest of their results have not made for pleasent reading.

The Championship has now paused for two weeks while the autumn international fixtures take place after a breathless start to the new season.

With the first round of games out of the way and a poor start by the Potters recorded, here at FLW, we asked Stoke City supporters if they feel Rowett is the right man to lead their side forward.

Surprisingly, the result was somewhat unanimous in feeling unconvinced that the current Stoke boss is the right man to lead them forward after relegation from the Premier League last season.

Almost three-quarters (74 per cent) of fans polled are yet to be convinced that Rowett is not the right man to take the club forward.

Only 26 per cent felt that that right now, the former Derby manager was the right man for the job, having only been in charge for six league matches.

The pressure is already on the Potters’ boss to get results having been backed in the transfer window, and Stoke fans will watch keenly to how he fairs once the league resumes on September 15.
