An ever-reliable defender in his time at QPR, Peter Ramage made 74 appearances for the club between 2008 and 2012.

The Northumberland-born defender was a product of the Newcastle United academy, which is where he began his career. He played 69 games for the Magpies, making his debut against Olympiacos in the UEFA Cup Round of 16 in March 2005.

Ramage spent four seasons at the club but moved on at the expiration of his contract in 2008, with then manager Kevin Keegan unable to guarantee the defender first-team football.

QPR was his next destination and probably the most defining part of Ramage's career - he had two solid seasons at the club in the 2008/09 and 2009/10 seasons in the Championship and scored his first ever professional goal on his debut against Blackpool, but would only feature four times as they won the Championship in the 2010/11 season.

He didn't feature for the R's in the top-flight though and found himself on-loan at Crystal Palace and Birmingham City that season, before being released by QPR at the end of the 2011/12 campaign.

Crystal Palace snapped him up on a free transfer after he impressed on his month-long loan at the club the season before, and he spent a further three years at Selhurst Park.

Ramage again helped his side to Premier League promotion in 2013 under Ian Holloway though his services were again dismissed in the top-flight, and he spent two-straight seasons on loan at Barnsley.

Upon being released by Palace in 2015, Ramage then swapped south London for south India, signing for Kerala Blasters on a short-term deal and playing 14 games in the Indian Super League that season before returning to England with Coventry City.

The 2015/16 season saw Ramage make a handful of appearances for the Sky Blues and in an emergency loan deal at Leyton Orient, before another cross-continental move for the defender.

Next, it was the USA and Ramage signed for Arizona United ahead of the 2016 United Soccer League. One season in Arizona was followed by one in Phoenix and it was there we Ramage ended his career.

Today, aged 36, Ramage is the assistant coach at Phoenix Rising, a position which he's held for almost a year.

A playing career which spanned 13 years in three different continents, Ramage played over 300 professional games and despite not making the Premier League breakthrough, he can still look back on a solid career.
