It was a frustrating weekend for Derby County, who were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw against Swansea City at Pride Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Rams will have been full of confidence going into the weekend, after producing an impressive display in a 2-1 win against Huddersfield Town last Monday night.

A brace from Tom Lawrence secured a first win in charge for Phillip Cocu, who would have been looking for his side to replicate the same level performance on Saturday afternoon.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Cocu named an unchanged team to the one that defeated Jan Siewert's Terriers last week. But, the weekend's performance was completely chalk and cheese to that of last Monday, with a resilient, organised Swansea unit frustrating the Rams as well as creating a host of chances themselves.

But the best chance of the game came for Martyn Waghorn in the first-half, however the striker's penalty was saved brilliantly by Freddie Woodman - their first shot on target after 41 minutes of action.

Scott Malone and Florian Jozefzoon also had good chances in the second-half for Cocu's side, before the latter was replaced by Jack Marriott after 81 minutes.

Here, we take a look at how Jozefzoon got on for Derby at the weekend...

Jozefzoon, as he did against Huddersfield last Monday, started on the right-hand side of midfield in a 4-3-3 formation at the weekend, where he came up against a very solid and experienced left-back in Jake Bidwell.

The Dutchman continually tried to make things happen for the Rams, completing three out of three successful dribbles and making five progressive runs into the Swansea half, trying to cause problems with his pace down the flanks.

As minutes went by, Derby become desperate as they hunted for an opener, but the impressive Woodman kept Swansea at bay. After denying Waghorn from the spot in the first half, he then pulled off two saves in quick succession in the second half.

Jozefzoon cut in from the right-hand side onto his left foot, however his low shot was saved comfortably by the Newcastle United loanee. The winger's first shot was also deflected wide for a corner in the first half.

Mike van der Hoorn and Joe Rodon were solid in defence for the Swans, and cleared nearly everything that came their way, with Jozefzoon accruing a cross accuracy rate of 0% from only two crosses.

Jozefzoon linked up well with Jayden Bogle down the right-hand side, and the right-back loved to attack and get forward for the Rams, subsequently winning a penalty in the first half.

Jozefzoon left the pitch on 81 minutes for Jack Marriott, having accrued a total pass success rate of 73% on Saturday afternoon.

Last Monday, Jozefzoon found it much easier to get past his man and put in wicked deliveries, however this was much harder to achieve against a solid, organised unit in Swansea at the weekend.
