The race for automatic promotion is really heating up and there's not much to choose between many of the contenders.

With so much quality on show, success and failure this season could be determined by small margins - and that's where it helps having a reliable keeper in goal.

West Brom and Sheffield United will certainly be pleased with their options in goal, with Sam Johnstone and Dean Henderson two outstanding stoppers at this level.

As our graphic shows, they have been making decisive contributions all season.

Firstly, you have to praise the Blades man as he has conceded fewer goals and kept more clean sheets than his rival, which is what keepers will be judged on.

That shows how quickly he has settled into life at his new club and how he has built up a good understanding with the defence.

Yet, that doesn't mean that Johnstone's work shouldn't be appreciated.

Darren Moore's side had plenty of issues defensively earlier in the season that left him vulnerable on too many occasions.

That has changed recently and the former Manchester United man has a 71.5% save success rate, higher than Henderson, which proves he has been delivering when needed.

Additionally, he has had to adapt more at The Hawthorns, with Moore wanting his keeper to play out far more than many other sides do.

But, he has looked a lot more comfortable on the ball after a tricky start and his 68.7% success rate highlights how he is a useful option for the Baggies as they look to retain possession and build attacks.

Ultimately, we are talking about two highly-talented keepers that have already shown their class, and maintaining those levels could make the difference in this tight promotion race.
