Preston North End will be hoping they can mount a serious push for a top-six finish in the Championship this season under the management of Alex Neil.

North End finished the 2019/20 season in ninth position, which will have been slightly frustrating for the club's supporters, after their side have been in contention to finish in the play-off places at one stage of the campaign.

There is still time for Alex Neil's side to sign players on loan before the summer transfer window, as they could potentially strengthen their squad even further in the near future.

We take a look at SEVEN Premier League players that Preston should try and sign on loan before the deadline.

Smith Rowe is still with Arsenal, and you would imagine that he'll be eager to find first-team opportunities out on loan before the transfer window closes.

The winger spent last year's campaign on loan with Huddersfield Town, and caught the eye with a number of impressive performances for the Terriers as they avoided relegation into the third-tier of English football.

Gray has recently been linked with a move away from Leicester City, which won't come as a surprise to many, with the winger only making one appearance so far this term for the Foxes, which came in the EFL Cup.

If they can't find a destination for him on a permanent basis, then you would expect a number of teams to register their interest in taking the midfielder on loan this term.

It would be a real coup if Preston could strike a deal for Gray on loan this season.

Zohore has struggled for game time with West Brom since signing for the club, and will surely be heading for the exit door at The Hawthorns in the near future.

The forward has recently been linked with a move to Sheffield Wednesday, but Preston North End should certainly be weighing up a loan move for the former Cardiff City striker.

Bogusz is another promising young player to come through the Leeds United academy teams, and he could certainly benefit from a loan spell away from Elland Road.

The central midfielder is highly unlikely to get regular game time with the Whites in the Premier League, and you have to feel as though a loan move to the Championship could see him further his development in senior football.

Clarke has Championship experience with Leeds and QPR, but is currently with Tottenham Hotspur's first-team, as we edge closer to Deadline Day.

The winger has been linked with a loan move away from Spurs this summer, and Preston should certainly be looking at a deal to sign him, as he'd strengthen their depth and quality out wide.

Molumby spent last year's campaign on loan with Millwall, and made a positive impact for Gary Rowett's side in the second-tier.

The central midfielder hasn't made a league appearance for Brighton and Hove Albion, but has featured in the EFL Cup this term for the Seagulls.

But first-team opportunities are likely to be tough to find for the youngster, and his development would certainly be best-served out on loan in the Championship for another season.

Alex Neil's side could benefit from signing a versatile option in defence, and Tosin Adarabioyo fits that description perfectly.

The defender spent last season on loan with Blackburn Rovers, and caught the eye with some strong performances for Tony Mowbray's men.

He's since returned to Manchester City, and will surely be looking for a temporary move elsewhere in the near future.
