Queens Park Rangers are preparing for a return to action later this month, with a lot still to play for at Loftus Road.

Mark Warburton has had a good first season in-charge in West London, with the R’s still an outside bet to sneak into the play-off places during the nine-game run-in.

That’s going to be the immediate focus of the club, but there is also a big summer just around the corner for Warburton.

Players will come and go if it’s another year in the Championship for QPR, which leads us down the path of identifying a number of Premier League outcasts the club could sign.

Take a look…

Hart would be an expensive signing in the Championship, but he’s the type of player QPR have targeted in the past.

The former England international would add experience to the backline and would be something of a statement arrival.

It isn’t quite working out for Ibe with AFC Bournemouth and a move to reinvent himself might be on the cards this summer.

Given some of the attacking talent QPR could lose in the summer, he’d be a great signing.

Again, as QPR potentially look to rebuild their attack, Brown would be a fine signing.

He’s rediscovering himself at Luton Town after an awful run with injuries and at his best, he’s a top Championship player.

Moving back into the defence, Chester could be a shrewd signing for a club like QPR.

The Welshman has so much experience and the leadership he’d bring to Warburton’s squad is a big quality.

There’s still the Nahki Wells void that needs filling at QPR and Hogan could be perfect.

He’s been on fire since joining Birmingham City on loan and a move back to London could be ideal for the striker next season.

Gibson would be a high-profile signing for most Championship clubs, but given his struggles at Burnley, he’s a realistic option for many.

At his best, Gibson is too good for the Championship, but getting him to that level is a task.

If it isn’t Hogan, it could be Adams to come in and spearhead QPR’s attack.

Since linking up with Southampton, things haven’t worked out at all and a move back into the Championship could be great for him.
