Huddersfield Town will be looking to maintain their Championship status in the coming months, with Danny Cowley’s side not out of the woods in terms of relegation.

There will be an expectation that Town can drag themselves to safety, however, which would then present Cowley with a chance to get the side properly moving in the right direction.

Given their recent stint in the Premier League, there will be an ambition to get back challenging in and around the play-off places, but that’s going to take some more shrewd recruitment from Cowley and the Town hierarchy.

With that in mind, we take a look at SEVEN Premier League outcasts that could help Town…

Brady is top left-sided player, but he’s struggling a little bit at Burnley at the moment.

A fresh start could well be needed in the summer and stepping back into the Championship could help him rediscover himself.

Town could capitalise on that.

At Burnley, but in a different situation, is Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

Since moving from Leeds to Turf Moor, Peacock-Farrell has struggled for games and a move back out on loan could really help his development.

Huddersfield might be the perfect destination.

Chalobah has been on loan with Town this season and his chances at parent-club Chelsea look slim, despite Frank Lampard leaning on youth.

Cowley likes the energy the midfielder brings and another year in West Yorkshire could be excellent for the midfielder.

Now, to an old fan favourite.

Brown impressed on loan with Huddersfield in 2016/17 and his contribution helped them to promotion.

He’s still on the books at Chelsea, but like Chalobah, is unlikely to get a chance there.

On the back of a decent spell with Luton, a return to Huddersfield might be a brilliant move.

Chester is currently with Stoke City, on loan from Aston Villa.

Huddersfield have seen the benefit for signing experienced players in the past and Chester could be great for Cowley’s dressing room.

Rather than a player entering his latter years, Town might prefer someone who should be performing at their peak.

Gibson would be a good addition for most in the Championship; we know his quality and a poor adaptation period at Burnley means he could well be available at a more affordable price.

Ibe has lost his way a little bit at Bournemouth and stepping back into the Championship could be ideal for the 24-year-old.

With Cowley’s arm around him and a run in the side, Huddersfield could be the perfect place for the winger.
