Luton Town faced the toughest challenge of the Championship calendar last night, a trip away to Fulham, with the Cottagers running out as 7-0 winners to clinch the second-tier title in style.

Far from an adequate performance, the Whites were also spectacular, with the likes of Bobby Decordova-Reid, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Harry Wilson causing all sorts of chaos throughout.

Yesterday's thrashing means that Luton go into the final day of the campaign in need of a victory to definitely confirm their participation in this year's play-offs, however, a draw, or even a loss may do if results go their way.

The Hatters host Reading to conclude the campaign, with the Royals 21st in the Championship, although, their survival has already been confirmed.

Whilst we wait and see if it is a finish inside the top-six for the Hatters, we take a look at seven Luton Town transfer dealings that could happen almost immediately into the summer...

Danny Hylton has been an excellent servant to the club and has contributed massively since arriving at Kenilworth Road with the Hatters in League Two.

The competitive forward has caused a lot of problems for defenders this season in the Championship, however, it remains to be seen if he is part of the future plans with the club continuing to evolve.

He signed a new contract at Kenilworth Road back in the summer of 2020, so it remains to be seen if it was a two-year extension or not.

Harry Isted has been called into action three times for the Hatters this season, but with similar thinking to Hylton's situation, it is unknown if he will be part of the next chapter at Luton.

The 25-year-old is still vastly-inexperienced at Football League level, however, he has shown glimpses of his quality when called upon within the first-team environment this season.

If the Hatters were to part company with him this summer, then he could be an excellent coup at Championship or League One level.

Dion Pereira has enjoyed an excellent loan spell with Bradford City thus far, quickly emerging as an integral player under Mark Hughes at Valley Parade.

He is another who Luton fans have seen his quality in glimpses, with it being unknown what the immediate future may hold for him.

It could be another loan move for the exciting winger to bridge the gap from League Two, to the top-end of the Championship, and that is without considering the possibility of a Luton promotion.

Luton appeared to making excellent progress towards the addition of Newcastle United starlet Elliot Anderson, however, given that there was no option to buy, he eventually joined Bristol Rovers.

Lighting up League Two with consistently starring performances, Anderson is now being monitored by lots of Championship clubs.

Luton could look reignite their interest in the early summer, with the Hatters already doing their homework on the exciting 19-year-old, who can play on the wing or as an attacking midfielder.

Another player who Luton have been linked with is AFC Wimbledon star Jack Rudoni, who has enjoyed an impressive campaign with the Dons, despite suffering relegation.

The attacking midfielder's dribbling ability, combined with his knack of contributing in the final third, has seen the Hatters, as well as the likes of Fulham, West Bromwich Albion, Hull City and Nottingham Forest emerge interest.

Finishing the season with 12 League One goals and five assists, Luton may look to strengthen their initial interest in the 20-year-old.

Elijah Adebayo could head for pastures new in the summer, with Burnley, West Brom and Huddersfield Town all emerging as interested parties.

The towering frontman has been excellent in Luton colours this season, scoring 16 goals in 40 Championship outings, proving to adapt to his first proper season of second-tier football seamlessly.

He is progressing at an electric rate with the Championship outfit, however, if the Clarets of the Terriers can offer Premier League football next year, then that could complicate things for the Bedfordshire club.

A FLW exclusive from the start of March learnt that Middlesbrough, Norwich City, Sheffield United and West Brom were all casting their eyes over versatile Luton player Kal Naismith.

The experienced Hatters, who has shone when operating in the left-side of defence this season, has shown excellent levels of technical ability and physicality throughout the campaign.

Like Adebayo, if the Hatters win promotion to the Premier League, then it would be a no-brainer to stay at Kenilworth Road.
