West Brom will be hoping they can hold their nerve in the race for promotion into the Premier League this season.

The Baggies are currently sat second in the Championship table, and closed the gap on league-leaders Leeds United with a win over Sheffield Wednesday.

But with a potential return to the top-flight on the horizon, West Brom will know that they need to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window.

One player that has struggled to find consistency in front of goal this season for Slaven Bilic's side is Kenneth Zohore, with the forward only scoring seven goals in his 21 appearances in all competitions this term.

We take a look at SEVEN upgrades to Zohore that West Brom need to be considering ahead of the summer transfer window if they win promotion.

Watkins has been hugely impressive with Brentford this season, having netted 23 goals in 41 appearances for Thomas Frank's side in all competitions.

If Brentford aren't to be promoted from the Championship this term, then you would imagine that he'll be heading for the exit door in the summer.

Mitrović has scored 23 goals in 36 appearances for Fulham this season, who have struggled for positive results in recent weeks as they target promotion into the Premier League.

This is another deal that would hinge on whether they're promoted into the Premier League or not this season.

But if the Cottagers don't achieve promotion, then West Brom should certainly be targeting a move for the Serbian international.

Pukki is currently with Norwich City, who look as though they're stay in the Premier League is going to be a brief one.

The Finnish international has shown that he can perform to a high standard in both the Championship and Premier League in recent seasons, and could be a fine addition to the West Brom team.

Grabban is another player that has impressed in the Championship this season, and has been key to Nottingham Forest's push for promotion.

The forward has scored 19 goals in all competitions this term, and will surely be hoping he can play his football in the top-flight next season.

This would be an audacious target for the Baggies but it certainly shouldn't be ruled out if they were to be promoted into the Premier League.

AFC Bournemouth are in real danger of being relegated into the Championship this season, and you would imagine that Wilson would be one of the first players heading for the exit door if they were to drop into the second tier.

Maupay has caught the eye with some impressive performances for Brighton and Hove Albion this season, but the Seagulls are still in danger of being relegated from the Premier League.

If they are to drop out of the top-flight, then the Frenchman should certainly be on West Brom's transfer radar.

Gayle has struggled for consistent game time with Newcastle United, and could be tempted by a move elsewhere in the summer.

The forward spent last year's campaign on loan with West Brom, and scored 24 goals in 41 appearances for the Baggies as they narrowly missed out on promotion into the Premier League.
