Millwall will still feel that the play-offs are within reach but even if they're to miss out on the top six, the progress that has been made since the arrival of Gary Rowett has been hugely impressive.

It looks set to be an important summer window for the Lions, as Rowett looks to build on the progress made this term and add some more quality to his squad.

An area that looks like it needs further improvement is the forward line after a disappointing debut season for summer signing Jon Dadi Bodvarsson – who has added just three goals and two assists.

The Icelandic forward is set to become a free agent this summer and we've outlined seven upgrades Millwall should consider...

It's unlikely to be a long-term option but Fletcher is a free agent after leaving Sheffield Wednesday at the end of June.

He's shown this season he still has the quality to fire in goals in the Championship and could be a fantastic addition.

At the other end of the spectrum in terms of experience in the division, Chaplin has been hugely impressive in his first Championship season at Barnsley – grabbing 13 goals and five assists in all competitions.

He looks to be finding his feet at this level and would surely be tempted by the move, particularly if the Tykes go down.

The towering striker is a free agent after leaving Blackpool this summer on the back of the most productive season of his career.

The 28-year-old deserves his chance to prove himself in the Championship and could thrive at the Den.

The 25-year-old has impressed in a Luton Town side that have been dismal for much of the 2019/20 campaign and would surely be open to a move to Millwall.

With one term in the Championship under his belt, he could be a fantastic addition for Rowett in the final third.

Clarke-Harris has got an impressive goalscoring record in a pretty dismal Bristol Rovers side over the past 18 months and signing him could be a very shrewd bit of business.

He's shown he can be prolific in front of goal but his work-rate and physicality are likely to make him a popular player under Rowett and at the Den.

Robson-Kanu has been fantastic for the Baggies this term – firing in 12 goals as they've battled at the very top of the Championship.

He's out of contract at West Brom this term and might well be released if they do secure promotion to the Premier League, which could mean Millwall can swoop.

The 25-year-old seems to have been around for a while but things seem to have clicked at Barnsley.

He's fired in 34 goals over the past two seasons and would be a fantastic addition to Rowett's squad, if they can prize him away from the Tykes.
