7 goals, 7 assists: The effective Brentford man that has gone under the radar this season

Brentford have just fallen short in their bid to make the play-offs but Dean Smith’s men have still had a positive season.

The Bees had to contend with the departure of several key players throughout the season, from the trio who left for Birmingham to Lasse Vibe heading to China, yet they still looked a very good side.

With Smith encouraging a passing style of play and the side always trying to play on the front foot, the likes of Ryan Woods and Ollie Watkins are among those who have caught the eye.

However, one man who also deserves a lot of credit is Florian Jozefzoon, who has impressed out wide for the Londoners.

The Dutch winger has real pace that stretches the opponents defence but has added a real end product to his game this season – even if he can still do more.

With seven goals and seven assists, he has been one of the most productive players for the Bees and it’s a very good return for a winger.

As well as that, he has been a constant menace all season, with his dribbling and finding a key pass at a crucial time.

At 27-years old he is approaching his peak years and could be a key man for Brentford over the next few years as they look to take that final step by winning promotion, something that has eluded them recently.

Thoughts, Brentford fans? How good is Jozefzoon? Let us know in the comments below.
