Rotherham United sit 19th in the Championship after their first 12 matches back in the second-tier after promotion last term.

Paul Warne’s side have managed three wins and two draws from their first dozen matches at a higher level. It has been an acceptable start with the aim to consolidate in the division.

With that will come the need to add and sell players in January to try and achieve their goal and be able to celebrate relative success upon their return to the second-tier.

It will be mid-October when the league resumes, and thoughts to the January transfer window will soon be creeping back into the minds of football fans up and down the country.

The Millers will undoubtedly be preparing a list of targets ahead of the winter transfer window to be as well prepared as possible heading into the New Year.

With that said, here is the perfect double deal for the Lions with one new player arriving and another departing.

The attacker is having a relativity good season with Coventry City on loan at present scoring twice in ten appearances in League One.

Having spent the second half of last season on loan at the Ricoh Arena, a permanent move to the Sky Blues could be beneficial for both all parties involved.

That would give the club with the lowest budget in the division a bit of capital to improve their current side come January.

The Barnsley striker has scored seven goals in 12 appearances for the Tykes this season, who currently sit fourth in the table after 11 matches.

If Rotherham want to retain their Championship status, they will need goals, and with Moore, he has picked up the baton since the departure of Tom Bradshaw to Millwall and could be a potential big apple at the New York Stadium.

Logistically the move would make sense, and it would depend on how both clubs are doing come January, but the temptation of a move to the second-tier could swing it in Rotherham’s favour.
