Nottingham Forest extended their unbeaten run to six matches in the Championship with a well-deserved 1-0 win over top-of-the-table Swansea City at the weekend.

The Reds have made a positive start to their first season under head coach Sabri Lamouchi and continued their momentum with a hard-fought victory at the Liberty Stadium, thanks to a late winner from substitute Alfa Semedo.

The 22-year-old came off the bench midway through the second half and made the difference in midfield, scoring the winner five minutes from time, sending the travelling fans into raptures.

In the latest FLW Spotlight, we take a closer look at some of Semedo's stats from the win at Swansea at the weekend...

Semedo was only on the pitch at the Liberty Stadium for 27 minutes, but he made the difference for Nottingham Forest in midfield and grabbed the headlines by netting the winner five minutes from time.

It was a good team performance from Nottingham Forest, but Semedo stole the show with his display, which is saying something considering he was on the pitch for less than half an hour.

The midfielder was introduced to the action midway through the second half - replacing Sammy Ameobi in the 68th minute - and worked tirelessly in the middle of the park.

It's fair to say that his stats do not accurately reflect how good of a performance this was. Semedo got stuck in straight away, winning seven duels and three aerial duels.

However, if we take a look at these stats in more detail, he only won 47% of his duels and 50% of his aerial duels.

If we're being critical, you could say that Semedo might be slightly disappointed with these statistics, but he still made some important challenges in the game.

His passing stats are pretty solid though, as he finished the game with a pass accuracy of 63% and he also made one successful dribble, but the energy and intensity that he provided in midfield is probably what will impress Lamouchi the most.

Of course, we can't analyse Semedo's performance without talking about his goal. Swansea were looking for their seventh straight win in all competitions, but with five minutes to go they were caught on the counter-attack.

Semedo made a lung-bursting run from inside his own half to get on the end of Lewis Grabban's low cross and showed great composure to tap the ball home from close range for his first goal for the club.

Sometimes the stats don't always tell the whole story and perhaps this is one of those times, as Semedo was outstanding for Nottingham Forest at the weekend and he made the difference after coming off the bench.

The midfielder is looking like he could be a great signing for Nottingham Forest on loan from Benfica and he could have a very important role to play for the Reds under Lamouchi this season.
