Despite Aitor Karanka’s arrival at the City Ground, Nottingham Forest are stull struggling for consistency in the Sky Bet Championship, with the Reds failing to put together a run of results to help them move up the league table.

However, following Tuesday night’s heavy 3-0 defeat to Preston North End, Karanka acted swiftly, overseeing a huge squad overhaul on deadline day, with a number of arrivals ahead of Saturday’s clash with Fulham.

Here at FLW, we take a look at the starting XI Karanka could select tomorrow, with it our belief he will make big changes to his line-up, starting with Costel Pantilimon, who could replace Jordan Smith in goal.

Only Joe Worrall and Danny Fox should retain their place in defence from Tuesday night’s embarrassment, with Eric Lichaj returning at right-back and Tobias Figueiredo partnering Worrall centrally.

In midfield, Jack Colback should earn a debut, alongside the returning Liam Bridcutt in a holding role.

Slightly further forward should be Kieran Dowell, who continues in the 10 role, whilst another debutant, Joe Lolley, lines up on one side of him, with Ben Osborn to the other.

In attack, with Daryl Murphy struggling with injury, Ben Brereton should be drafted back into the starting XI.
