Birmingham City have endured a difficult campaign near the bottom of the Championship.

Lee Bowyer’s side are going into the final day of the regular season with their status in the second division secure.

However, with the team in 20th place, there is little reason to be content with the team’s campaign.

Bowyer’s future with the Blues remains uncertain as the club prepares for the summer transfer window.

The 45-year old has not been able to progress the side up the table as would have been hoped at the start of the season.

It is likely that it will be another busy transfer window ahead for the club as they look to steer clear of any potential relegation trouble.

Given a new manager could also be in charge, there is extra reason to believe this could be a summer of upheaval.

Here are seven Birmingham transfer dealings we could see as soon as next month…

Taylor has enjoyed a successful stint on loan with Birmingham since arriving in the January transfer market.

The forward is in no rush to make any decision on his future, with Nottingham Forest still yet to confirm their league status for next season.

However, it is likely that his time at the City Ground is over, so a move to Birmingham could be on the cards, should both parties display an interest in making the switch permanent.

Hall has only played one Championship game for the club, but has already attracted interest for a permanent signing ahead of the summer window.

At only 17-years old, the promising youngster has garnered interest from Premier League side Leeds United.

His debut came at the turn of the year on January 2 in a defeat to QPR in which he featured for 84 minutes, his first ever start in a competitive fixture at senior level.

Pedersen’s time with Birmingham could be coming to a close over the next few weeks.

The Danish international’s contract is set to expire at the end of June, which could potentially signal his exit from St Andrews.

The full back has spent four seasons with the club since signing from Union Berlin in 2018.

In that time, the 27-year old has become an important member of the team, making over 35 league appearances each year.

The current Stoke City forward could arrive at St Andrew’s this summer, given Birmingham’s current reported interest in the player.

Maja only joined the Potters in January, but has been unable to become a consistent starter in the side.

The Blues had an interest in bringing the Nigerian to the club in that transfer window, but lost out to Michael O’Neill’s side.

But the Birmingham hierarchy could be looking to rekindle their interest in the 27-year old for a summer move over the next few weeks.

Bela’s contract is set to expire over the next few weeks, which could potentially signal the end of his time at St Andrews.

The 29-year old has spent three seasons with the club and has been an important member of the squad in that time.

However, no agreement has been reached between the player and the club meaning his time in Birmingham could be over.

This could yet be a changing situation, but as of now this weekend’s clash with Blackburn could be his last for the club.

The Hull City player has been linked with a move to St Andrews for this summer.

The 23-year old has been a good squad player for the Tigers during his three seasons at the MKM Stadium.

Birmingham have shown an interest in bringing the forward to the club, which the timing might just be perfect for.

Hull are under new ownership so it is unclear how big of a role Wilks will have to play going forward under Shota Arveladze, meaning the door could be open to a potential permanent move away from the club.

Chong has impressed during his loan stint with Birmingham and the club could look to extend his stay with the Blues.

The Manchester United loanee recently had a clause triggered in his contract to keep him at Old Trafford for another 12 months.

However, that may have been to simply protect his value before a possible permanent move away from the club this summer.

Birmingham would surely be first in line should the Dutchman be available again this summer.
