Leeds United are looking to put a disappointing Sky Bet Championship season behind them, with work already underway ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

The Whites are on the lookout for Paul Heckingbottom’s replacement at Elland Road, with Leeds opting for another change in head-coach ahead of the new season.

From there, the Whites are expected to make a number of changes to their playing squad, with a reshape needed after a disappointing 13th placed finish in the Championship last season.

Leeds will be looking to make defensive additions to their squad, but supporters are desperate to see some attacking options added to a group of players that struggled to score goals without Chris Wood last season.

Here at FLW, we take a look at Leeds’ transfer targets, selecting the potential forward line that could be lining up at Elland Road next season, if the Whites land their transfer targets…

Hernandez was Leeds’ best player last year, with the Spaniard in excellent form.

The bulk of his impressive appearances came on the left, where Leeds’ supporters will expect to see him next season.

Leeds are looking to complete a deal for the Hull City striker, who will leave the KCOM Stadium on a free this summer.

Hernandez scored eight goals in 10 appearances last season during an injury-hit campaign.

The striker’s previous campaign in the Championship saw him score over 20 goals, as Hull won promotion in 2016.

Recently, Leeds have been linked with Derby County's Vydra.

The £7.2m-rated ace was the Championship’s top scorer last season and would be a much better attacking option than Kemar Roofe or Ezgjan Alioski.

Despite the links, Leeds aren’t expected to be able to afford both Vydra and Hernandez, but if they did it would be a frightening prospect.
