After enduring a tough spell before Christmas, Sheffield United are beginning to show signs that they have rediscovered their early season form.

The Blades travel to Hull City tonight knowing a win will put them in the top six, until at least Sunday afternoon, when Bristol City play Cardiff.

Chris Wilder's men responded to back-to-back defeats against Aston Villa and Wolves by winning successive games and know the importance of a third victory in a row tonight.

It won't be easy against the Tigers, who despite battling relegation, haven't lost at home since late November. However, United will be confident themselves after beating QPR last time out.

Here we look at the XI that Wilder could go with at the KCOM Stadium...

Wilder has a tough choice in goal with Simon Moore available after his three-game ban. However, Blackman has performed well in his absence and deserves to keep the shirt.

Basham is solid and reliable so will once again feature for the Blades in the three-man defence.

The 6ft 3 former Wolves man scored against QPR last time out and will be at the heart of the defence for the visitors tonight.

O'Connell has had a fine season on the left-side of the Blades defence and once again it's a straightforward decision for the manager.

Similarly, Baldock is another who has handled the step up to the Championship with ease and will bomb forward down the right.

The January signing has had a solid start to life in Yorkshire and will take on the defensive responsibilities in the midfield.

Duffy had been in and out the team over the past month but he has impressed in the previous two league games and will provide energy and drive from deep.

The only change from the QPR win and it's harsh on Lundstram who scored the winner. However, the ex-Rangers man is pivotal to this Blades team and has to come back in now his ban is over.

The Irish wing-back will get forward at every opportunity and gives great width to the team.

The Blades skipper has been recalled in recent weeks and has delivered two big performances. He is sure to lead the line again tonight.

Sheffield United's top scorer hasn't scored since New Year's Day and must be worrying about his place, but the fact he scored four goals against tonight's opposition in the reverse fixture means he has to get a start.
