Wigan are one point behind Shrewsbury in third place with two games in hand.

The Latics came away from Walsall with a 3-0 victory in midweek, which reduced the gap with the front two.

Their glorious FA Cup ended with a 2-0 defeat to Southampton in the quarter-finals. Therefore, they can focus solely on their promotion campaign for the rest of the season.

Bury are bottom of the table with a ten points separating them from safety, so they are highly likely to go down and this presents an opportunity for Cook to do some squad rotation in order to keep his team fresh.

Here's the XI he should use tomorrow in the usual 4-2-3-1 formation.

Walton continues in the net after a run of consistent performances. Jamie Jones has provided him with strong competition this season, but Walton is the deserved No1. at the club. He impressed against Southampton in the quarter-finals defeat and even managed to save a penalty.

Byrne will start as usual on the right side of defence. He has been a model of consistency for Cook this season with 34 appearances in the league and that is unlikely to stop anytime soon.

Dunkley has fitted into the squad brilliantly since joining from Oxford in the summer. He will be key in cutting out any half chances that Bury managed to make.

Bruce should partner Dunkley in defence. Dan Burn deserves a rest and this is the ideal game to do that because of Bury's league position. They are unlikely to make a lot of chances and Bruce is a more than capable deputy.

Both Reece James and Elder have done well in this position, but Elder deserves it based on his recent form.

Fulton has worked well with Max Power in the centre, so he should start against Bury in order to cut out any danger before it gets to the defence.

Cook should keep the partnership together in the midfield in order to help build their understanding which will be important for tougher games.

Massey should regain his spot on the right wing with stretching Bury horizontally being his main focus.

Powell starts in the centre as the hub of creativity for the team as well as being the top goalscorer.

Jacobs has been on a run of goalscoring form recently with goals against Bradford and Walsall in the last two games, so he should start on the left.

Grigg should be rotated in for £675k-rated James Vaughan in order to keep the strikers fresh. He has been their best striker this season with 11 goals in the league and he could help finish this game early, so that Cook can rest some other players.
