Blackburn Rovers will be looking to return to winning ways on Saturday evening against Aston Villa.

It’s been a good start to the season for Rovers, but Tony Mowbray will have been bitterly disappointed with the way his side entered the international break, with the Lancashire club suffering a heavy defeat to Bristol City.

Like Blackburn, Villa suffered a 4-1 defeat in their last outing, with the two sides looking to get back to winning ways at Ewood Park in Saturday’s evening kick-off.

Mowbray is likely to consider changes to his starting XI against Villa, with Ben Brereton, his marquee summer addition, sure to be pushing for his full debut.

The 19-year-old was handed over half-an-hour in the defeat to Bristol City, replacing Danny Graham, but he could be set for a starting berth against Aston Villa.

Here at FLW, we wanted to know if Blackburn’s supporters were in favour of Mowbray turning to his new striker against Steve Bruce’s side this Saturday.

Voting in or poll was reasonably close, but those supporters were mainly backing Brereton for a starting place.

66% voted in favour of the ex-Nottingham Forest man starting, whilst just 34% don’t think he should be in the XI.
