It's safe to say that Wolves have been hugely impressive this season in the Premier League, as they look to finish this year's campaign strongly.

They're currently sat sixth in the Premier League table, and are just two points adrift of Manchester United, who occupy a European qualification spot ahead of next season.

However, over the years, Wolves have had their fair share of players that haven't made the impact that was originally hoped, especially during the days of when they were playing their football in the Championship.

We look at SIX of Wolves' worst signings we've seen from over the years.

Find out who they are, on the next page....

Johnson signed for Wolves from Birmingham City back in 2011 for a fee believed to be in the region of £4m.

The defender was part of the Wolves team that were relegated from the Premier League into League One in consecutive seasons, which caused divides amongst the club's supporters after a string of dismal performances.

He had his deal with the club terminated by mutual consent in February 2015, and later went on to join Charlton Athletic for the remainder of the season.

Maierhofer was with Wolves for two years, but only made ten appearances for the club, which certainly came as a disappointment for the striker.

He only scored once as well, and it came as no surprise when he moved to Austrian side Salzburg in the summer of 2011.

A move to forget for Maierhofer and Wolves, that's for certain.

Eastwood arrived from Southend United for a fee believed to be in the region of £1.2m.

He was hugely impressive for Southend, which prompted Wolves to stump up a sizeable fee for a striker that had been playing in the lower divisions of English football.

But Eastwood struggled to make a notable impact in his time with the club, and only scored four goals in 35 appearances.

Lonergan signed for Wolves from Fulham on a two-year deal back in 2016.

He made 15 appearances for the club, but due to them later signing Will Norris and John Ruddy, it didn't come as a surprise to see Lonergan move on in 2017.

It was certainly a forgetful spell at Molineux for the shot-stopper, who is now with Liverpool.

Margreitter signed for Wolves in the summer of 2012, but had one of the most forgetful spells the club has seen in the last ten years.

He only made three senior appearances for the club, and was sent out on loan to the likes of Copenhagen and Chesterfield. He then moved to German side 1.FC Nuremberg on a permanent deal in the summer of 2015.

There were high hopes for Taylor when he signed for Wolves from Manchester City in 2000, but he struggled to justify the £1.55m price tag that the club paid for his services.

He only made nine appearances for Wolves, and didn't score a single goal in his time at Molineux.
